On January 12, 2025, at approximately 12:40 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual allegedly violating court-ordered conditions at an address in Bewdley.
Police say they located a person matching the description nearby and arrested them. According to police, a search revealed a small quantity of opioids.
Richard Mitchell, 41, of Toronto, has been charged with failure to comply with a release order, other than to attend court, and possession of a Schedule I substance (opioid). He was held for bail before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.
