The Haliburton Kawartha Northumberland Peterborough Board of Health addressed key operational priorities during its January 16 meeting.
Members approved the 2025 meeting schedule, which includes a mix of in-person and hybrid sessions, and set a $100 remuneration rate per meeting.
Presentations on the ongoing HKNP merger highlighted progress in harmonizing finance systems and integrating IT operations. Tony Yu of Sense and Nous reported advancements in governance and branding, with a focus on regional collaboration. Angela Burton from Prosci shared strategies for supporting staff through the changes, including leadership training.
The Board approved 185 King Street in Peterborough as the legal corporate address for HKNP. While this satisfies legal requirements, it does not change operational approaches across regional offices.
Staff have been tasked with preparing a report on public access to meetings, such as live streaming or recordings, to be reviewed at the February 19 session.
The next meeting is set for February 19 at 5 p.m. in Peterborough.
Details are available on the HKPR District Health Unit or Peterborough Public Health websites.
