A Bancroft OPP officer suffered minor injuries after a two-vehicle crash in Napanee, say OPP.
According to OPP, an individual from Bath has been charged following the collision, which was just before 8 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, at the intersection of County Road 2 and Palace Road.
Traffic was heavy in the area due to a detour on Hwy. 401 – the crash involved two vehicles colliding in the middle of the intersection, reported OPP.
One driver, a member of the Bancroft OPP, suffered minor injuries and was sent to hospital as a precaution and later released, said police, noting the officer was in the area for training.
Police said the other driver wasn’t injured.
As a result of the investigation, police said a 23-year-old civilian driver was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with failing to yield to traffic on a through highway.
This charge has not been proven in court.
No other details were released by police.
