Campbellford District High School was placed on lockdown after a student was found in possession of weapons, including a firearm.
Northumberland OPP say they responded to a report at the school shortly after 12:10 p.m. Officers secured the area and quickly took one individual into custody. Police confirm that no injuries were reported and that all weapons have been seized.
Authorities have assured the public that they are not looking for any additional suspects, and there is no ongoing threat to public safety. The lockdown has since been lifted, and the school has resumed normal operations.
