Belleville Fire and Emergency Services is launching Belleville Alerts, a new emergency notification system designed to keep residents informed about large-scale emergencies and critical safety events.
The system will send alerts via automated phone calls or text messages, providing real-time information on major fires, severe weather, shelter-in-place orders, and other urgent situations. To receive notifications, residents must register by providing their name and phone number. Once signed up, they may receive alerts at any time if an emergency occurs.
“We are very pleased to be introducing our own public alert system for Belleville,” says Fire Chief and Director of Emergency Services Dan Smith. “This new system will provide us with a way to notify impacted residents quickly and directly in a way we haven’t been able to before. I would urge everyone to register today – it is quick, easy and could make all the difference in an emergency.”
Residents can learn more and sign up for Belleville Alerts at Belleville Alerts – City of Belleville.
