Northumberland business owners and entrepreneurs can access free training this spring through the Business Series Workshops, a collaboration between the Municipality of Port Hope, the Business and Entrepreneurship Centre Northumberland, and the Port Hope & District Chamber of Commerce.
The workshops, running monthly from March to June, are designed to help local businesses adapt and grow in a competitive economy.
The series begins on March 20 with a virtual session on business planning essentials. On April 10, attendees will gather at the Town Park Recreation Centre to explore marketing strategies. A May 14 session at the Port Hope Community Hub in Canton will focus on using artificial intelligence to future-proof small businesses, while the final workshop on June 11 will cover digital video marketing.
“This partnership with our regional and local friends at the BECN and the Chamber is just one of many ways the Municipality is working to support our business community,” says Desta McAdam, Director of Development Services.
Economic Development Manager Andrew Wallen highlights the importance of collaboration, noting that local businesses thrived through last year’s Walton Street reconstruction thanks to community support.
Workshops are free, but registration is required as space is limited.
Details and sign-ups are available at Seminars & Workshops – Northumberland County.
