More than five years ago, Jonathan Fowler was last seen in Picton, and investigators say they believe someone out there can help with answers around those responsible for his disappearance.
“OPP investigators are confident someone has a crucial piece of information that will resolve this case,” said police, in a recent appeal for the public’s help to find the missing man, who would now be 38 years old.
And according to Det.-Insp. Serge Acay with the OPP’s criminal investigation branch, police are willing to pay for those answers.
Acay explains more about where and when Fowler was last seen.
Police said that Fowler was also known to spend time in Napanee and Denbigh.
According to OPP, Fowler also goes by Jon, as well as Joshua MacDonald, “Johnny Boy,” or sometimes a combination of those names. He has also used the name Daniel and/or the last name Shewan, added police.
Police described Fowler as about six-foot-two with a slim/average build and short brown hair – usually with a buzz cut or a shaved head. He also has hazel eyes, multiple tattoos on his arms and chest and sometimes sported a mustache, said police.
Police said the OPP’s criminal investigation branch is now overseeing the probe by Prince Edward County’s OPP crime unit, as foul play can’t be ruled out in his disappearance.
Acay is urging anyone with information – even if those details may seem minor – to step forward.
Anyone who knows anything about Fowler’s disappearance or whereabouts is asked to call the Prince Edward County OPP crime unit at 1-888-310-1122. For those who want to stay anonymous, Crime Stoppers is also an option.
