Families in Batawa and surrounding communities can look forward to a fun-filled morning at the annual Batawa Lions Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 19.
The event, running from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Batawa Community Centre, will feature a petting zoo, face painting, a balloon artist, and a chance for kids to see a fire truck and police car up-close.
The highlight of the morning will be the Easter Egg Hunt, with chocolate eggs for up to 700 kids.
Kids will be divided into two age groups: those five and under will start at 10 a.m., while kids aged six to 12 will start at 11:15 a.m. Families are encouraged to arrive early, as supplies will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
A pancake breakfast will also be available for families, costing $8 for children, $10 for adults, and $30 for a family of four. The $5 Easter Egg Hunt fee will be waived when a child’s breakfast is purchased.
The event is organized by the Batawa Lions Club, in collaboration with the Batawa Development Corporation and the Trenton Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC.)
For more details, families can contact Kate Buttaro or the Batawa Lions Club.
