Brighton’s significant weather declaration put in place in the wake of this weekend’s ice storm has ended.
Municipal officials declared the end of the significant weather event effective noon Thursday, April 3.
What does this mean? Well, municipal staff will resume operating under minimum maintenance standards.
Meanwhile, public works crews will continue to tackle downed trees, debris and cleanup across the municipality, prioritizing higher-risk areas.
Communication lines remain open with Hydro One, fire, OPP and Bell, added municipal officials, who are also thanking residents for their co-operation, patience and support throughout the weather event.
Nearby, Belleville has also ended its declaration.
