A 65-year-old Prince Edward County man who was previously charged in connection with an ongoing lengthy fraud investigation is looking at additional charges.
The additional fraud over $5,000, and theft over $5,000 charges follow after another victim came forward, said Prince Edward County OPP, in an update.
As previously reported, officers laid charges last July in connection with their probe, while looking into alleged offences dating back several years with number victims.
The losses are estimated at more than $500,000, said police.
The accused is Paul Marconi, 65, of Prince Edward County.
None of these allegations or charges have been proven in court.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on April 9, 2025, reported OPP.
The investigation is continuing, and anyone with information surrounding these incidents is urged to contact Prince Edward County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
No other details were released by police.
