
Residents in Cobourg, Brighton and Port Hope can expect a number of municipal closures and service changes over the Easter long weekend from April 18 to 21, 2025.
In Cobourg, all municipal buildings, including the Cobourg Community Centre and Cobourg Public Library, will be closed on Friday, April 18. The library will also be closed on Sunday and Monday. Cobourg Transit will not run on Good Friday but will resume normal service for the rest of the weekend.
In Brighton, municipal offices are closed Friday and Monday, reopening Tuesday, April 22. Recreation facilities and libraries will operate on adjusted schedules.
Residents are encouraged to check brighton.ca for department-specific updates and after-hours support.
Port Hope will also close administrative buildings on Friday and Monday. Transit will not operate on Friday or Sunday and will run with reduced hours Monday, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Jack Burger Sports Complex pool is open Friday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m., while the community room will be used for advance voting in the federal election throughout the weekend. The Hope Transfer Station is closed Friday and reopens Saturday.
All regular services will resume Tuesday, April 22.
