CFB Trenton is now a quarantine free zone. The remaining 195 individuals at the base have been released from isolation. They were in a second group of Canadian evacuees who arrived on a flight from Wuhan, China, on February 11th.
Public Health Canada says all of the quarantined individuals released today, Tuesday, February 25th, and those who departed on February 21, remained symptom free for COVID 19 coronavirus. As a result they pose no risk to others.
The federal government says it is helping those released to reach their final destinations. Provincial, territorial partners, local public health authorities and non-governmental organizations, will be available to ensure that social services are in place to support the released evacuees and their family members.
