150 Loyalist College students are being housed at four Belleville hotels to ensure social distancing measures are in place to protect the students after COVID-19 protocols forced them out of campus dormitory housing.
The task of moving students from residence posed challenges for the College, including finding enough living space and to provide meals to students who would normally share a kitchen to prepare their meals. College staff worked quickly to find accommodations for the students.
While the hotels offer breakfast, lunch and dinner arrangements are still necessary. Local restaurants are helping on that front. The president of Loyalist College says challenging times bring out the strong community spirit of the region and Loyalist is grateful for that.
