It’s Vanderlaan Building Productsʼ Community Builders Day and we are profiling Justin McLenaghan.
From the very beginning, Justin’s Pet Store was going to be about more than just buying food, treats and toys for your furry friends.
Owner Justin McLenaghan says he became involved with the Northumberland Humane Society right away, and to this day, always answers the call if the organization needs food for animals in care.
The local pet store is also celebrating 15 years of running ‘Luck of the Paw’ fundraisers for the Humane Society, and Justin is known as someone reliable
that’s always willing to listen and help where possible – even if the issue isnʼt animal related.
His commitment to our community was put on display when the COVID-19 pandemic hit Ontario.
Even before there was a State of Emergency declared across the province, Justin’s Pet Store began offering free delivery throughout Northumberland County, they remained open but closed the store to the public in order to be able to ensure items could be delivered to seniors and other vulnerable people without contamination concerns.
