Anyone planning on staying in residence at Fleming, will have to have at least their first doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.
The requirement was announced late last week.
President Maureen Adamson says the vaccination requirement for those in residence will provide peace of mind to students and their families. Officials recommend residence students get the vaccine 14 days prior to their move-in date, and those unable to receive a first dose before moving in, will have 14 days to get vaccinated.
Adamson adds the pandemic continues to be an evolving situation, and they have always emphasized that safety is everyone’s responsibility at Fleming.
The mandatory vaccine policy is supported by Peterborough Public Health.
