The Cobourg Police Services Board will receive a report on the potential deployment of body-worn cameras.
Last summer, the service conducted a public survey on the use of body-worn cameras and about 90 per cent of the 213 respondents supported the concept.
The body-worn camera report will be presented to the Board on Tuesday at the Cobourg Police Services Board meeting. The presentation will cover anticipated results of body-worn cameras, and future deployment needs.
After the presentation, the Board will seek public feedback before making a final decision.
If supported by the Board, a body-worn camera program would be considered for implementation in January.
