Community Care Northumberland is again offering the 5th annual “Adopt a grandparent” program. The program helps seniors who might be shut in, isolated or lonely by matching them with someone who will give them a surprise Christmas gift and share some happiness.
Anyone who is interested in adopting a grandparent can do so by calling 905-372-7356 or by emailing wellness@commcare.ca to be matched with a senior.
Purchased gifts, can be dropped off at a local office to be delivered to your “adoptive grandparents” by volunteers the week before Christmas.
