The 15th Annual Hastings Waterfront Festival is on August 19th and there are many family friendly activities planned throughout the day in Hastings, Ontario.
“Hastings is known as the Hub of the Trent,” said Chris Manning – an organizer of the Hastings Waterfront Festival. “The festival will be a hub of activities and will help us celebrate the spectacular geography that we are what we have in the Village.”
Manning shared some of the details on what you can expect.
There are activities planned for all ages including, axe throwing, medieval knights, beverage pavilion and live music. The popular Vendors Village is returning, with booths by local shops and artisans displaying items for sale.
Manning told us the festival is free but donations are gratefully accepted.
On the north shore of the Trent River, there will be an antique boat show courtesy of the Trent Severn Antique and Classic Boat Association. At the Hastings Field House there will be the annual Show & Shine Car Show sponsored by Midas Cobourg, and entrants will be competing for trophies and dash plaque honours including a people’s choice award.

The annual fish fry will also return, get your pickerel starting at 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Hastings Village Marina.
This year event is sponsored by Brenbrooke Homes and admission is free although donations are gratefully accepted.
Schedule :
· 9am- Gates Open
· 10am to 3pm – Kids Zone activities with crafts, kids cookie painting, games and more (more details coming soon!)
· 11am to 11pm – Live Music and Beverage Pavilion
· 11am, 1pm and 4pm – Blades of Glory, Medieval Knight Duel Show
· 1pm to 5pm – Axe Throwing (play for FREE)
· 10pm – Light up Your Boat Prize Draw
