As Halloween approaches, the safety of our little ghosts and goblins is important to everyone!
myFM sat down with Provincial Constable Craig Soldan – he emphasized the need for increased vigilance when driving through less well-lit areas on the night of October 31st.
He suggested avoiding built-up residential areas if possible.
Furthermore, unpredictable weather can impact visibility, and some children may not be easily visible – this means it’s crucial for drivers to proceed cautiously.
Even if kids attempt to cross the road in non-designated areas, Constable Soldan urged drivers to be courteous.
Constable Soldan emphasized that it’s everyone’s responsibility to keep children safe on Halloween.
In this collaborative effort between drivers, law enforcement, and the community, we can ensure that Halloween remains a night of fun and safety for all.
Drive cautiously, stay sober, and look out for our little trick-or-treaters to make sure they get home safely.
