
Two security guards at The Warming Hub were hospitalized after displaying symptoms they believed to be indicative of drug poisoning.
On Thursday, Nov. 9, Todays Northumberland reports two security guards from The Northumberland Warming Hub were hospitalized after entering washrooms where drugs were allegedly smoked previously. Cobourg Police stated that the guards began experiencing symptoms shortly after exposure.
Rev. Neil Ellis, Warming Hub Acting Executive Director, says he conducted an assessment to ensure the safe operation of The Warming Hub could continue. The facility was briefly closed for restroom assessment and subsequent safe operations confirmation.
The two affected security guards were promptly transported to the hospital, received treatment, and have since been released.
