Campbellford Memorial Hospital (CMH) is enhancing safety measures, effective November 16th.
Only one essential caregiver, identified by the patient, will be allowed to visit the Inpatient Unit until further notice. As caregivers play a crucial role in the patient’s well-being, they will have access during evenings and weekends.
Exceptions to the one caregiver restriction may be considered for palliative patients.
“We understand that these measures may cause inconvenience, but the safety of our patients and the community remains our top priority,” said Heather Campbell, VP Patient Care. “We appreciate the understanding and cooperation of our patients, their families, and the broader community as we continue to respond to this outbreak.”
Services in the Emergency Department remain unaffected by this outbreak and anyone in need of emergency care should not hesitate to seek assistance.
