An arrest has been made related bomb threats across Ontario.
Belgian police arrested a man from Morocco, which OPP linked to a string of messages to schools and public places threatening establishments with fake bombs for extortion.
The Criminal Investigation Branch, along with the OPP Cybercrime Investigations Team and Belgian Police issued an arrest warrant, and now a 45-year-old named El Hachm El Moussi from Casablanca, Morocco, faces charges for making threats, causing trouble, and trying to get money through extortion.
The OPP is figuring out how this person will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice with help from the Federal Department of Justice.
