With some help from “Team Christina Charbonneau,” the Trenton Golden Hawks will hit the ice on March 2 for their final regular season game while also helping Trenton Memorial Hospital.
On Saturday, March 2, at 7:30 p.m., the team will take on the Burlington Cougars for its final regular season game – the action will also mark a special “Hawks for Health Care Night” in support of the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation (TMHF), the team recently announced.
The evening is being presented by Team Christina Charbonneau, of Exit Realty Group.
“I am a proud partner of both TMHF and the Trenton Golden Hawks,” said Charbonneau. “When the Golden Hawks reached about the fundraising game, the answer was a definite ‘yes.’
“As a Quinte West resident, TMH is my hospital and I hold it near and dear to my heart.”
Since the rebirth of Junior A hockey in Quinte West, the team noted TMHF has been an incredible partner. The Hawks and TMHF have joined forces several times before – including through an annual hockey game for the hospital.
“We love to have our young men partner with TMHF,” said head coach/GM Derek Smith. “Every family in the area needs the services of TMH and a community is only as successful as its hospital.”
On the big night, Trenton will wear special medical-themed jerseys for the evening. The jerseys will be auctioned off with proceeds going to the foundation.
“Time and time again, the Trenton Golden Hawks have been incredible supporters of the foundation,” added TMHF executive director Wendy Warner. “We are thrilled to continue this tradition with the exciting ‘Hawks for Health Care’ game.
“Their ongoing dedication makes a real impact on our community’s health care, and we cannot wait to see everyone come together.”
“What we love about the jersey is that they showcase the new logo of the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation,” continued Warner. “It (is) good for us to know that if one of our Golden Hawks is injured, we have a well-equipped hospital close by to take care of them.”
