Northumberland OPP say they’re investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision that has claimed three lives and resulted in injuries for two other passengers.
On Thursday, March 28, at about 11:30 p.m., Northumberland OPP, the fire department and paramedics responded to a report of a serious collision in the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand on County Road 45 near Beagle Club Road.
“Sadly, as a result of the collision, the drivers of both vehicles and a passenger were confirmed deceased,” said police.
“Two other passengers were transferred to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.”
County Road 45 was closed between County Road 22 and Beagle Club Road during the investigation.
The road has recently reopened, said police, early Friday morning.
The investigation is ongoing.
