Riverfest makes its return to Frankford Tourist Park this Saturday, May 18.
You can join the City of Quinte West during the Victoria Day long-weekend for live music, fireworks, and an outdoor movie showing as part of the fun. There will also be a duck-inspired scavenger hunt for the kids and prizes.
The event runs from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday.
Here’s a quick rundown of plans:
From 5 to 7 p.m., “DJ Leo” and the “ducky hunt” will offer up family fun. There are 100 rubber duckies hidden in the park. After kids find a ducky, they can exchange them for prizes at the city’s tent setup.
From 7 to 9 p.m., the River Valley Riders perform.
At dusk/around 9 p.m. come the fireworks, followed by an outdoor movie showing of “Migration.”
Folks can bring blankets and lawn chairs and kick back for a showing under the stars on a jumbo inflatable screen.
Popular family-friendly movies will continue to be shown monthly by the city (weather permitting.)
