The Lawson Settlement Road railway crossing – and a portion of the road – will be closed Tuesday for what has been described as emergency repairs needed to railway tracks in the area.
On Monday, the Municipality of Brighton said officials were advised that crews from Canadian National (CN) Railway will be conducting emergency repairs to the railway tracks near the Lawson Settlement Road crossing on Tuesday, July 16.
“As a result, (the) Lawson Settlement Road crossing will be closed, in addition to a portion of Lawson Settlement Road, from Highway 2 to Lawson Road,” reads a recent notice from the municipality.
The closure will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
