Docs by the Bay has recruited another family doctor for Brighton and Quinte West residents.
Dr. Ronak Brahmbhatt started practising in both communities earlier in August, says Docs by the Bay Physician Recruitment and Retention.
Brahmbhatt is the 18th family physician recruited by the organization since its inception in late 2017.
According to a recent release, Brahmbhatt has a bachelor’s of medicine, a bachelor’s of surgery (MBBS) degree from Maharaja Sayajirao University in India, and master’s of public health from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, Georgia.
He completed his family medicine residency at the University of British Columbia, and previously served as a family physician in Dawson Creek, B.C. since 2022.
“Special thanks (goes) to Dr. and Mrs. Stephen Evans and Dr. and Mrs. Stephen Kaladeen for their assistance during the recruitment process,” commented Paula Mason, manager of recruitment and retention for Docs by the Bay.
Brahmbhatt will be practising along with Evans and his colleagues at the Trenton-Brighton Medical Clinics.
“It is with great excitement that Docs by the Bay welcomes Dr. Brahmbhatt into this amazing region of the province,” added Phil Wild, committee chair.
Docs by the Bay is sponsored by the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation, City of Quinte West and Municipality of Brighton.
