While a snow squall warning has been called off, Environment Canada has issued a winter weather travel advisory for the Northumberland and Quinte regions.
The advisory remains in effect through the night, with officials saying locally heavy snowfall with total accumulations of five to 10 centimetres is possible.
There may be reduced visibility at times, including during bursts of heavy snow.
