Community volunteers and residents who lead by example were acknowledged last night (Jan. 16) during a special ceremony.
Northumberland-Peterborough South MP Philip Lawrence says the King Charles III Coronation Medal awards recognize those who often fly under the radar.
Lawrence says many of last night’s recipients have gone through their entire lives, quietly, without recognition.
Lawrence says the judging panel casts a wide net when considering those who’re nominated.
One local resident who received the King Charles III Coronation Medal was myFM and Classic Rock 107.9 account executive Peter Dounoukos.
Another was Brightonian and volunteer extraordinaire Craig Kerr.
And these are just a few of the recipients that residents may recognize.
