The Northumberland PACE Speaker Series launches its 2025 season with a virtual event titled “The Art of Presence” on Thursday, Jan. 23, at 5:30 p.m.
Retired Registered Nurse and active hospice volunteer Sally Manchester will lead the session, drawing from her extensive nursing career and volunteer work supporting hospice patients and their families. Sally’s talk will provide practical guidance on how to remain present and supportive during challenging times, such as trauma or illness.
“It has always been my feeling, especially throughout my nursing career, that we are all here on this earth to help each other in the bad times as well as the good,” Manchester shared.
The event includes a 30-minute presentation followed by a 20-minute Q&A. Attendees are encouraged to submit questions in advance by emailing mbhargava@imcare.ca or ask live during the session.
This free event is part of PACE’s ongoing public education efforts, which have engaged the community on various health and wellness topics since 2018.
Don’t miss this chance to gain valuable insights and join the conversation.
