This winter blast has local police asking motorists to stay on their toes as driving conditions have declined.
Northumberland OPP are advising caution after multiple collisions on Highway 401 between Morris Church and Cobourg. No serious injuries have been reported, but debris is creating traffic hazards.
Officers urge drivers to slow down as a mix of rain and snow, along with fluctuating temperatures, is making roads slippery. Reduced visibility and icy conditions remain a concern.
Motorists are advised to increase following distance and drive according to conditions.
