The Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board has launched the first phase of public consultations for its next Multi-Year Strategic Plan, a roadmap that will guide decision-making and educational priorities for the coming years.
Under the Education Act, Ontario school boards must develop a strategic plan every three to five years to ensure accountability and direction in delivering high-quality education.
“Our Multi-Year Strategic Plan is more than just a roadmap—it is a reflection of the hopes and priorities of our Catholic learning community,” said Stephen O’Sullivan, Director of Education. “This consultation process allows us to listen, learn, and work together to ensure that our schools continue to be places of faith-filled learning, innovation, and well-being.”
Board Chairperson Kevin MacKenzie emphasized the importance of community input: “As trustees, our role is to serve and represent the voices of our Catholic school communities. The Multi-Year Strategic Planning process is a key opportunity for families, staff, students, and community partners to help shape the future of Catholic education in our region.”
The consultation is being conducted in two phases:
Phase 1 (Now): Gathering broad feedback to understand community priorities.
Phase 2 (Coming Soon): Refining themes based on initial feedback and prioritizing key areas.
Community members can participate by completing an online survey at engagepvnc.ca/MYSP or attending in-person town hall sessions:
