Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre provides compassionate, end-of-life care in a comfortable, home-like setting for individuals with life-limiting illnesses.
Ed’s House Joel Scott tells us about Kim Barnes, a client who recently experienced the Hospice first hand.
The hospice offers 24/7 palliative care, ensuring patients and their families receive emotional, spiritual, and medical support during their final journey.
Scott tells more about how the hospice supports families.
In addition to on-site care, Ed’s House also provides community-based services such as the Palliative Care Community Team, Volunteer Hospice Visiting, and Grief and Bereavement Support.
According to Scott, the hospice’s grief and bereavement services are just one of the many supports offered at Ed’s House.
Funds raised by Handbags for Hospice will support these exceptional programs and services that are offered at Ed’s House – all offered at no cost to clients and their families.
“As we prepare for this year’s Handbags for Hospice, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has helped make this event possible,” said Trish Baird, CEO of Community Care Northumberland.
Guests will be welcomed with a complimentary drink and can enjoy auctions, photo booths, and the new Tote Treasure Wall. The evening also features the popular Golden Ticket Draw, Mystery Bags, and delicious hors d’oeuvres and desserts.
