According to Quinte West OPP, when first-responders arrived on scene, “they found a residential trailer engulfed in flames” on Thursday, March 13, 2025.
Quinte West fire, paramedics and OPP responded to the fire at the park on Hwy. 2, just east of CFB Trenton, shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday, reported police.
“One adult and two children, (ages) seven and nine, were able to escape,” said OPP, in an update on the morning of Friday, March 14, 2025. “Tragically, a one-year-old child and a 66-year-old woman died in the fire.”
