Brighton is continuing to experience hydro and internet disruptions in the aftermath of this weekend’s ice storm – and at the municipal level, officials say all its offices are currently impacted.
In a notice Monday, March 31, 2025, the Municipality of Brighton said its currently experiencing intermittent hydro and internet disruption at all of its municipal offices. Impacted facilities include the arena, public works building, administrative building, and the fire hall, with the outages/disruptions affecting phones, email and payment systems, say officials.
The municipal elevator is also temporarily out of service. Staff say the elevator will be back in service once hydro is fully restored.
Staff are thanking residents for their patience and understanding, and say when services are fully restored, notices will be issued and posted on social media channels and the municipality’s website.
Meanwhile, municipal officials in the afternoon confirmed the area remains under a significant weather declaration. Staff say public works and utility crews are continuing with clean-up and restoration efforts.
