Northumberland County says some residents may experience possible disruptions in waste and recycling collection Monday due to current road conditions and fallout from the weekend’s ice storm.
“If your scheduled collection does not occur by 7 p.m. this evening, please remove your waste and recyclables from the curbside and place them out again on your next regularly scheduled collection day,” the county is advising residents.
County officials also say that if a delay occurs, curbside waste collection limits will be temporarily increased to four waste bags per household come the next collection day.
Residents who have questions about waste removal and recycling can reach the county via email at wastedept@northumberland.ca or call the county’s waste hotline at 1-866-293-8379.
