A number of candidates are vying for your votes in the April 28 federal election in Northumberland-Clarke.
Here’s the latest from Elections Canada:
YOUR CANDIDATES:
According to the Elections Canada website, seven candidates were confirmed in the riding as of April 7, which also marked the closing of the candidate nominations.
However, the list isn’t considered complete until Elections Canada issues an update Wednesday, April 9.
In the meantime, here’s a look at who is in the race:
Ava Becker is running for the New Democratic Party.
Lisa Bradburn is the People’s Party of Canada’s candidate.
John Goheen is the running for the Liberals.
Incumbent Philip Lawrence is hoping for another win for the Conservatives.
Jody Ledgerwood is an independent candidate.
John Wesselius is running for the Christian Heritage Party of Canada.
Christina Marie Wilson is the Green candidate.

THE NEW RIDING:
Northumberland-Clarke (formerly Northumberland-Peterborough South) covers roughly 2,211 square kilometres across Northumberland and Clarington, with a population of roughly 106,574, according to the latest Census data available.
KEY NOTES AND DATES:
Voter cards are supposed to be in the mail coming your way.
People wanting to vote by mail can apply online or at any Elections Canada office until April 22 at 6 p.m.
Advanced polling gets underway Friday, April 18, and continues April 19, 20, and 21 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
People can cast their ballots early at 500 Elections Canada offices nationwide. In this riding, the local office is at 609 Williams St., Suite 8 in Cobourg.
Office hours locally are Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday noon to 4 p.m.
Election Day is Monday, April 28.
BAY OF QUINTE:
Nearby in the Bay of Quinte, four candidates have been confirmed: Erica Charlton for the Green Party of Canada, Kate Crothers for the NDP, Chris Malette for the Liberals, and Conservative incumbent Ryan Williams.
In the Bay of Quinte riding, the Elections Canada office is located at 71 Adam St., Belleville. Hours of operation are the same.
