There has been a changing of the guard in the Peterborough riding.
Voters turned out on Election Day and turned in ballots in a close race, but ultimately selected Liberal Emma Harrison to represent us on Parliament Hill with about 52.6 per cent support.
Harrison held her election party at the Canadian Canoe Museum on Monday.
Finishing runner-up was Conservative incumbent Michelle Ferreri. The one-term MP brought in about 42.7 per cent support.
Rounding out the top three was New Democrat Heather Ray with just over three per cent. Ray says despite the overall result, a lot of great ground was gained in her opinion.
